NMRC to Organise Special Smart Card Camp for NSEZ Employees

Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will organise a special camp for issuing NMRC’s Smart Card exclusively for Noida Special Economic Zone (NSEZ) employees / entrepreneurs on 24th May 2019 (Friday) from 10 AM to 5 PM at the NSEZ Metro station of the Aqua Line.

The camp is being organised by NMRC in collaboration with the State Bank of India (SBI) and officials from both NMRC and SBI will be deployed at the NSEZ Metro station to ensure the smooth issuing of the cards to the NSEZ work force and to cater to all their doubts and queries regarding the Smart Cards. The NSEZ employees will have to provide a copy of their Aadhaar Number and their Mobile Number (to receive the OTP). The minimum value of the Smart Card will be Rs. 100 with a minimum top-up amount of Rs. 200.

The camp is being organised on the instructions of Mr. Alok Tandon, Managing Director / NMRC as a follow up of the interaction that was organised by NMRC at the NSEZ Campus on 15.05.2019 (Wednesday) with representatives of various companies that have their offices in the NSEZ campus. The interaction was headed by Mr. P. D. Upadhyay, Executive Director / NMRC; Mr. Manoj Vajpayee, General Manager / NMRC; Mr. Rajneesh Pandey, Asst. General Manager (HR) / NMRC; Mr. L. B. Singhal, Development Commissioner / NSEZ; Mr. S. S. Shukla, Jt. Development Commissioner / NSEZ, Mr. Ajay Goel. President / NSEZ Entrepreneurs’ Association and other senior officers from NMRC and NSEZ.

Representatives from around 40 companies had participated in the interaction and given their feedback regarding the Metro services in the area and their expectations from NMRC. NMRC had promised the best possible solutions to all the suggestions received and gave the assurance of providing world class services to its commuters. NMRC had also offered to organise special camps for issuing NMRC Smart Cards to NSEZ employees in order to save their precious time of standing in queues. During the interaction NMRC had also proposed to deploy feeder buses and e – rickshaws to boost last mile connectivity and motivate NSEZ employees to travel in the Metro.

NMRC has built a dedicated station near the NSEZ campus and even changed the name of the station from Dadri Road Metro Station to NSEZ Metro Station to facilitate people who have to travel from Noida, Greater Noida, Dadri and Delhi to the NSEZ campus daily for work. NMRC has also constructed a Foot Over Bridge from the NSEZ station to the NSEZ Campus for facilitating the movement of commuters who use the Metro Line to travel to their offices in the NSEZ Campus.

NMRC will organise more such camps in the future, if required, not only for NSEZ Campus but at other Metro stations as well. Residential Societies / RWAs, educational institutions, Government/private offices along the Metro alignment can write to NMRC to organise such camps at metro station nearest to them. 11.Route No. 108 (Botanical Garden Bus Stop to GIMS) – DMRC’s Botanical Garden metro station gets directly connected with Aqua Line’s NSEZ and Pari Chowk metro stations with the help of this route.

12.Route No. 109 (Botanical Garden Bus Stop to Dadri Railway Station via Surajpur) – NSEZ Metro Station of Aqua Line and Botanical Garden Metro Station of DMRC’s Blue/Magenta Line get direct connectivity with this Feeder Bus Route.

NMRC is currently plying 50 buses on these 11 routes whose minimum and maximum fares are Rs, 11 and Rs. 53 respectively. The buses are available at a frequency of 30 minutes and ply from 7 AM to 10 PM.

Pathway between Sector 51 Metro Station of the Aqua Line and Sector 52 station of DMRC’s Blue Line –

NMRC introduced free E rickshaw services for the commuters of Aqua Line at Sector 51 Metro stations and Blue Line at Sector 52 station to interchange between the two networks. This service was introduced by NMRC on 9th March 2019 on the day of commencement of operation of DMRC’s Blue Line extension from Noida City Centre to Noida Electronic City. NMRC has deployed 10 E rickshaws (5 at each station) for this purpose. These E rickshaws carry passengers free of cost between the two stations on a dedicated pathway constructed by NMRC of around 300 mts. The pathway also has a pedestrian walkway for the convenience of commuters of both the corridors to interchange between both the networks.

HIGHEST RIDERSHIP / REVENUE IN MAY

The ridership of NMRC reached an all time high of 19, 413 on 27th May 2019 (Monday) with revenue figures also touching an all-time high of Rs. 5, 80 285/-. NMRC has been working tirelessly since the commencement of its operations on 26th January 2019 and has taken various measures to increase ridership. The most important reason behind increase in ridership is improved connectivity between Aqua Line and DMRC’s Blue Line stations. For this NMRC has taken the following measures
